How to link your NIN to MTN

With regards to the admonition of the Federal Government, that all Nigerians should link their NIN to their SIM cards, some lines that did not comply with this mandate got barred.

Here is how to link your NIN to your MTN:

To get your
NIN, tap *346# from the number linked with our voter’s card, BVN registration, or driver’s license.

  • Tap 1 for you to get your NIN. Get a screenshot of the NIN and save it. Note that you will be charged N20 each time you dial this number. This number makes use of 2 methods which are:
  • through USSD code.
  • through MTN NIM Portal.

    Through MTN-NIM portal

    This requires your First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Email address, and National Identity Number to make use of an MTN online portal to link your phone number using your NIN.
    a) Go to the registration link, https://mtnonline.com/nim with your browser.
